Yes. The Ultra 3CH is the highest-resolution 3-channel system in VIOFO's lineup. The dual 4K cameras cover front and rear, while the 1080P fisheye cabin camera with IR night vision documents the entire interior — providing evidence for disputes, false claims, and safety incidents. All three channels record simultaneously with HDR.
The rear camera resolution. The A229 Pro 3CH records 4K front + 2K rear + 1080P interior. The A229 Ultra 3CH records 4K front + 4K rear + 1080P interior. Both use the same cabin camera and share all other features (STARVIS 2, HDR, 5GHz Wi-Fi, GPS, voice control). Choose the Ultra if you want maximum rear resolution.
The cabin camera has a 210-degree ultra-wide fisheye lens that covers the entire vehicle interior in a single frame — front seats, rear seats, and both sides. There are no blind spots inside the cabin. The fisheye distortion ensures complete coverage regardless of camera mounting position on the windshield.
Yes. The cabin camera has built-in infrared LEDs that activate automatically in low light. It switches to high-contrast black-and-white mode that clearly captures faces and cabin activity even with zero ambient light — without producing visible light that would distract passengers or the driver.
Three channels with dual 4K consume more storage than the Pro 3CH configuration. A 256GB card provides approximately 6–10 hours of continuous recording. A 512GB card (maximum supported) extends this to roughly 12–20 hours. No card is included — purchase a high-endurance card designed for continuous recording. We recommend 512GB for full-shift rideshare drivers.
Yes. With the HK4 hardwire kit (sold separately), all three cameras continue recording in parking mode. Three modes are available: buffered Auto Event Detection, Time-Lapse, and Low Bit Rate continuous recording. Impact-triggered videos are automatically locked to prevent overwriting./p>
